Our Grade 10's visited Paris. Thomas, Megan, Revant & Ray will give you a blow-by-blow account. 'When we get to school, it is still dark but everyone is really excited after spending days, weeks, and years waiting to visit Paris with our friends'.

After checking into our rooms, we headed straight into the city. Near the Champs Elysees, we were given three hours of free time. My group decided to explore without a plan, and somehow ended up in the Tuileries garden, right beside the Louvre.

Later, we had a 70-minute boat tour along the Seine, passing famous landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame. We ended the night by walking beneath the Eiffel Tower, amazed by its lights and the beauty of Paris. - Thomas

On the second day of Paris, we had an early start with everyone leaving the accommodation by 9:15.

Once we got to the city centre, we had the opportunity to explore the area around Les Halles before going to the Louvre. We had a couple of hours of free time to get lunch and explore. Some people used this time to visit a mall that was nearby the Louvre and some people used the time to go sightseeing, with the Church of Saint Eustache being a popular choice to visit.

Once our free time was up, we went together as a group to the Louvre where we got to explore the museum by ourselves. In the Louvre lots of us saw the 'Mona Lisa' and other famous sculptures and paintings - and we did leave empty-handed!

After the Louvre we had time to get dinner before going to see a comedy show: 'How to be a Parisian in one hour'. For dinner my friends and I went to a bakery and were able to explore more around the area before the show. The show was very funny with lots of good jokes and good impressions of Parisians. - Megan

Disneyland Paris

Arguably the most memorable day of the entire trip, the iconic Disneyland day was finally here.  Upon arriving at the park, everyone scurried off with their friends to explore. I naturally went to the biggest rollercoaster first with a big group of my friends. Half terrorised, half thrilled, we made our way to the dreaded Tower of Terror.

Throughout the day, me and my friends made sure to go to every single rollercoaster and ride possible, we did not skip any! As time flew by, before we knew it, our adventure in this park had to come to an end. We grabbed a quick dinner of ramen noodles and rushed back to the meeting point. - Revant

Arc de Triomphe

On our  final day in Paris we took the metro to the Montmartre district. There, we were given around an hour to explore the beautiful area filled with local cafés and restaurants. After that, we departed to the Arc de Triomphe, where we climbed all the way to the top to admire the incredible view.At around 2:45 PM, we went back to the bus and left Paris, with countless great memories made and a trip we will never forget. - Ray
