Cycling and Public Transport

Most children travel to school on their bike.

As soon as you arrive in the Netherlands you will notice everyone cycles. Dutch people do their groceries on their bike, travel to work on their bike and even cycle to the registry office on their wedding day. Most of our school families embrace this lifestyle and take their children to school on their bikes. Older students cycle to school independently. If you are living further from the school, then traveling by public transport might be a good alternative.

Public transport in the Netherlands

Public transport in The Netherlands is abundant and reliable, especially in and around Utrecht which lies in the heart of the country.

U-OV and NS

In and around the city of Utrecht you can travel by bus or tram with U-OV. If you come from further afield then traveling by train (NS) might be a good option.
