It was the third time students from iSU joined their peers and the Anna van Rijn College for a Collaboration and Exchange Day. This day is designed to help our students make new friends, learn about cultural differences and grow as open-minded global citizens. Students collaborated in both Dutch and English, attended workshops and took part in fun sports activities.
'The experience at Anna van Rijn was very nice. Anna van Rijn is a bilingual school rather than and international school. In the beginning of the day, we played various games at a sports field near Anna van Rijn. We interacted and collaborated with Dutch students to possibly make new friends. This allowed students from ISU to practise Dutch and allowed students from Anna van Rijn to practise English. In turn we were able to learn from each other. The games were enjoyable and well organised, a super nice experience.'
Students from various backgrounds
'After the games we made our way to the Anna van Rijn school. The school itself was very large, filled with various rooms assigned to different subjects such as tech, microscopy, arts and even multiple study rooms. When in the school we saw students from various backgrounds, which is very much like ISU as we too have students from multiple ethnicities. In the school we were involved in many workshops which allowed us to see the day in the life of a student studying in Anna van Rijn. The best part was that we received ice cream at the end of the day. The day at Anna van Rijn was educative and very fun. Overall, a great experience! Thank you to Anna van Rijn.'

We were having a great time
'Many people might ask me what my favourite trip was. Well it was to Anna van Rijn. One of the most fun exchange events I have ever been too. I got there around 8.15 but I could not contain my excitement. I saw my friends and I was even more thrilled. Then we met up near the field and we separated into groups.'
'In my group there was Yotam, Ethan, Mathis, Manasvini, Ria, Thushita and me. We did activities like, a parkour bouncy castle, interactive games, archery tag, football with gigantic bubbles that we got into and loads of other field games. After this it was already sunny and we were having a great time. Then we went to the school where we learned a lot of new information in a joyful manner. Overall Anna van Rijn was one of my favourite exchange trips and an unforgettable experience.'
