We are pleased to share that a new initiative has launched in Utrecht to encourage young people to take an active role in their community. With the establishment of the International Interact Club, students at International School Utrecht can now work together on meaningful community projects, supported by Rotary Club Utrecht International.

The inauguration takes place on Monday 11 May at ISU and will be led by Nanning van der Hoop, District Governor of Rotary District 1570.

Interact is a global Rotary programme for students aged 12 to 18. Within these clubs, students take the lead in organising projects, supported by Rotary members. Each year, they work on initiatives that support both local communities and international collaboration.

What is Rotary?

Rotary is a worldwide network of around 1.2 million volunteers, active in more than 34,000 clubs. The organisation focuses on humanitarian work, ethical leadership and international understanding.

At a local level, Rotary Club Utrecht International brings this mission to life. The club includes a diverse group of professionals from education, business and the public sector, who work together on initiatives in the region and beyond.

Strong partnership

The new International Interact Club is based at ISU and strengthens the connection between our school and the wider community. This collaboration shows how education and community engagement can go hand in hand, creating meaningful learning experiences for our students.

We look forward to seeing the positive impact our students will make through this initiative.
