Apply to our school

We look forward to getting to know your child(ren).

The admission procedure is geared towards getting to know your child(ren) and to make sure that there is a good match between our educational provision and your child(ren)'s needs. To do so, there are various steps involved in the process where we will be asking you questions, including questions about languages, and educational background. Should you wish to apply, we ask you to read our Admissions Policy first. Students wishing to apply to the Diploma Programme will need to read this document: DP Information for External Admissions Enquiries.

What if my child(ren) does/do not speak English yet?

To ensure all students can benefit from the curriculum, the school provides an English Language Acquisition (ELA) programme for learners whose first language is not English. Older students from grade 9 and above will need to demonstrate they have sufficient English to be able to access the curriculum. This means your child(ren) may be asked to take a language assessment as part of the enrolment process.. Please also look at our language acquisition page.

What support does ISU offer?

To proactively address the academic, behavioural and social-emotional needs of the students, our school  provides additional support. For more information, please view the inclusion page.

Where do our school families live?

Please view the ISUtrecht Fact Sheet for some more information on student numbers and nationalities and where our school families live. We will update this information twice every academic year, in the autumn and spring.

Does the school provide childcare?

The school offers places to children who have had their 4th birthday. We do work closely with Kind & Co, a separate organisation that offers childcare to children under 4.  Kind & Co offers after school care (in Dutch: BSO) in our school building. For information & registration please view our child care page.

Is there a school bus?
No, there is no school bus, but public transport in the city of Utrecht and surrounding areas is well organised.

Welcome! We will help you with the admissions.
