Wouter van Slobbe

Physical Health Education

Wouter van der Slobbe was born and raised in a small town near Breda, in the south of the Netherlands. His enormous passion for sports stems from his childhood and has always been an important part of Wouter’s life. So much so that he eventually made a career out of it.

In 2012, Wouter was accepted as a student at the Academy of Physical Education (Fontys School of Sport Studies) in Eindhoven, where he graduated in 2016. Ever since, he has had the privilege of gaining work experience in several international schools, both in the Netherlands and abroad.

Paralleled to his teaching career, Wouter has always been fascinated by human biology, metabolism, physiology, and science in general. That is how he found a new challenge in gaining a Master of Science degree in Human Movement Sciences at the University of Maastricht. After completing this course in July 2019, he proudly became a member of the PHE department at ISUtrecht, where he currently fulfills a position as PHE teacher, teaching both in primary and secondary.

Wouter has been a football player since the age of 5, and he has practiced athletics, the ‘mother of all sports’, for many years. He is also a true lover of all kinds of board sports, particularly snowboarding and wakeboarding.
