Polina Moutsaki was born and raised on the beautiful island of Crete (Greece). Her educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and a Master’s degree in Science Education from the University of Crete.
Polina has been teaching Physics and Mathematics to all grade levels for more than 10 years in different schools in Greece, the USA and the Netherlands. In Brooklyn NY, she worked at the Russian School of Mathematics, an advanced mathematics program for gifted students, where her role included training students for Math and Physics Olympiads. She also served as a lead instructor and assistant director in the Math Center in Long island.
After moving to the Netherlands in 2015, Polina has been teaching in various IB schools, planning and delivering inquiry based lessons for Physics and Mathematics (MYP & DP). At the International School of The Hague, she also served as a member of the Pastoral Team in the position of Assistant Year Leader. Her main role as an AYL was to monitor students’ progress and support them, in cooperation with teachers, mentors, and the Learning Support Wellbeing Department.
Polina started working at ISUtrecht in August 2019. She is teaching Physics and Mathematics (MYP/DP) and she is a mentor for grade 11.
Outside school, Polina enjoys good movies, concerts and spending time with friends (and cooking for them!)
