Juan Osorio is a music educator and professional classical saxophonist. Originally from Málaga (Spain) he has been living in the Netherlands for 5 years.
He started his musical studies at the age of 9 years. After many years of dedication, in June of 2014, he was awarded a Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Saxophone Music at “Malaga’s High Music School” with merits.
As a parallel training, he obtained his University Degree in Music Education by the Málaga University (Spain) in 2011, providing him with didactical resources to teach music, as well as developing didactic resources that promote an optimal development of the musicality of any individual. His teachings are based on four basic pillars such as Motivation, Inspiration, Creativity and Respect. Throughout those years he has been working as Music Teacher in some primary and secondary schools in Spain.
Upon completing his Bachelor studies, Juan decided to continue his training in the Netherlands looking for new ways and methods to further enhance his knowledge on music education and performance. He worked intensively for two years expanding his musical and interpretative skills, thus obtaining a Master’s Degree in Classical Saxophone Music at ArtEZ Conservatorium (Zwolle). Juan is really excited to start teaching at the International School Utrecht in August 2018.
In his spare time Juan loves travelling, playing music and concerts with his chamber music groups and repairing woodwind instruments in his own studio in Rotterdam.
