Annabel Kjar is from Australia. She is a creative person with the ability to stimulate young minds. Her combined roles of teaching together with the task of developing and managing a Media Centre for ISUtrecht demand a broad and flexible approach, which complement her experience and education as an architect. Annabel has 15 years experience in collaborative projects in the field of corporate interior and illustrative design. Her clients include Philips, Siemens, Nike and Baker and McKenzie.
Annabel has taught a wide range of practical and theoretical topics relating to Architecture, the English language and the Arts at tertiary, secondary and primary levels. She employs a hands-on, lively means of teaching Design; students are engaged in projects that are grounded in their own physical environments and experience. This builds self-confidence in students and it also engages also their thought processes (creative thinking), expression and communication within and beyond the school community.
Annabel is bilingual and shares a love of BBQ’s, sunshine and sport that characterises most Australians.
