CIS accreditation succesful
We are delighted to share with you that we are now a Council of International Schools (CIS) accredited school.
By Ingrid Schmoutziguer, communications
We are very proud that the ISUtrecht meets the high standards in all CIS domains, ranging from The Students’ Learning and Wellbeing, Teaching and Assessing for Learning and Staffing to Community and Home Partnerships and many more. Whereas the International Baccalaureate focuses on the curriculum, the CIS focuses on the operational side of a school.
3-year self-study process
Being accredited marks the end of a 3-year self-study process in which staff, students and parents worked across the CIS domains to see which improvements should and could be made. Being accredited also marks the beginning of a continuous process of self-evaluation and innovation, as this job is never done. In the coming months, we will use the feedback received from both the now completed CIS process and the expected IB visit in February to inform our planning. The ISUtrecht will keep on striving to be a better school for our students.
CIS accreditation is a worldwide recognised quality label for international schools and we’re very proud to be part of the CIS family. We would like to thank all staff, students and parents who played a part during the CIS self-study and online accreditation visit. We couldn’t have done this without your support.
