New deputy head of education

It is with great pleasure we can now introduce our new deputy head of education; Edith van der Linden, who was recently appointed by the ISUtrecht school board. Ms van der Linden will replace Angela Liu, who moves to England this summer having accepted a leadership position at a primary school in London.

After a first round of online interviews – the recruitment process took place during the lockdown – conducted by Rynette de Villiers and Kate Corder, Ms van der Linden made it onto a shortlist of three candidates. These candidates then presented themselves online to Ms de Villiers, Ms Corder, the programme leaders and representatives from the Division Council. The schoolboard appointed Ms van der Linden in May, following the recommendation made by both school leadership and the Division Council.

Ms van der Linden, who has worked in IB education for over 20 years, currently works at the International School Eindhoven as a leader for learning curriculum MYP and DP. In this short video, she talks about her background, her passion for IB education and her new role at the ISUtrecht.

Ms van der Linden will start at the ISUtrecht in August.
