Multiple prizes for ISUtrecht students in local chess tournament!
ISU chess club members spent their Sunday battling it out against 69 teams from 28 primary schools in and around Utrecht. Around 300 children participated in this wonderfully organised chess event.

Our ISU chess champions brought home the silver cup, winning a qualification to the Regional Championship to be held in March. This group A team holds the 6th position out of 21 top school teams! Both our Group B teams won first prize trophies and gold medals in Group B5 and B6 beating 7 other school teams. Really superb result by our 3 teams: Finn, Sushanth, Madhavan, Tanisha, Aryan, Samuel, Roman, Mukilan A, Leo, Revant, Marin, Muhilan SK, Vishaal and Muhilan!

International Schools Chess Tournament
A big round of applause to the “Never give up” attitude from our ISUtrecht champs! An a special thanks to Ashmit (grade 7), who helped team A all day. We wish our team A success in the Regional Championship!
ISUtrecht will be hosting the second International Schools Chess Tournament on Wednesday 20 March so we wish all our chess players well in their preparations for that one!
